sandy3 		er.. any ETF that trades oil as an underlying will be subject to various combinations of contago, backwardation, and speculation/hedging at any point in time. This is just the nature of a physical commodity with a market the size of oil.

You could try USO - this tracks Oil Services companies & tracks the oil market closely. You wont' be able to avoid speculating/hedging though.
