pass by the house you want -- get the address-- go to the county clerks office and ask a rep in the office to help you find information on that particular property such as the builders name-- there should be some computers in the office for public use- you can look up the information you need on your own - just ask the rep to help you get started. Somtimes with just the name you can get a phone number or you can go to the home if it is under construction and on the outside there is a large white plastic post-board item usually nailed on a 4x4 wood post -- builder information is usually on that board-- it opens up and inside may be some information on paper. If the property is presently under construction but the construction has been stopped you might be able to get that property for a cheaper price than what the mortgagee is paying for it now. You will have to buy it in it's present as is condition; and then take out a loan to complete the building because most likely the construction was stopped due to the recent market crunch because the loan was halted. At the clerks office you can also find out who the mortgagee is and work from there.

most cities and counties had a department of building and safety. make a few phone calls and find out who has jurisdiction over where your house is. then call or visit that department. you may be able to purchase a set of plans from them

You would have to buy the blue print from the architect, it is copywriten, even the builder can't sell you a copy. Expect to pay big bucks.

The building department will give you information on building permits and inspections. It is public information, you can ask about any house you want to.

If the home is fairly new, find out who the builder was, he will probably have blueprints. If not, check to see if any building permits were applied for with the City.
