What can I do if my cat bites?

I have kept a kitten since she was 6 months old and after few days she was showing her biting habits. One day she bites my baby and once my husband’s hand. My husband was very angry and wants to throw her out but since the cats out there are sick and have feline aids and this kitty will not going to survive there for a long time. I just want to know that how can I change her behavior of biting? Please advice.

It is really a difficult question to answer without knowing the past of the cat. Is the cat is declawed. Does your baby mistreated with the cat or try to hit them so that she become angry and bite. If your baby is too young then without the supervision of any elder don’t leave him near the cat as the accidents may be occurred. If the cat is declawed then there will be change in her reaction and they become over-protective and can show their defensive nature on anytime they feel that they are in danger. There are some cats who don’t like children and children also don’t know how to handle the cat, especially the younger children. I suggest you to give the cat a new home where there are no children to misbehave with her. You can try to teach your kids to how to behave with a cat. If the kids will learn how to treat them then the right way of treating will make the cat feeling relaxed. If the cat is deaf then putting him out of the house will be the sentence of death for her. Please do the thing which does not hurt the cat. She needs your care so that she will feel better with you as this is the time when she requires most care.
